Bid for a Lunch with Warren Buffett

It's anyone's guess how high the bidding will go this year when the chance to have lunch with investor Warren Buffett is put up for sale on eBay . The Online Bidding begins at $25000 on Sunday .



A year ago , two investor paid $650,100 ( ! ) for the chance to have lunch with chairman & CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.

This auction benefits the Glide Foundation , which provides social services to the poor and homeless in San Francisco .

Imagine this situation in India . Who will be offered more : Mallika Sherawat or Any Top Investor ? Surely , the Top Investor .......... after all this bid for LUNCH ( & not for the dinner !! )

Karan Johar starts Blogging

One of the Best Film Directors of Bollywood : Karan Johar has started Blogging .




After BigB and Amir Khan , Karan has also joined the blogosphere . His Blog "MyNameIsKaran" was launched just on 19th June .

Karan has directed 3 Movies and has produced many . His first movie "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" is the biggest hit after the "Sholey" . "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kahna" & "Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam" are the other two movies directed by him .


The Movies of Karan always have a NRI focus . This is why his movies have gained the Top10 position in US and UK .


Being a Karan Johar Fan , I would like to thank him for this . This again shows that , Blogging is the hot trend among Indian Celebrities .

DBM XXIII : Delhi Bloggers Meet

The Delhi Bloggers Group ( lead by Twilight Fairy ) organized its 23rd meet , DBM XXIII on 20th April . The meet was organized at very cool "The Attic" situated in CP , in the heart of Delhi .

The agenda of meet was Blogathon India , an online event organized by fellow bloggers of Bangalore .

I was among the attendees . This was my very first visit to any event related to Blogs . The meet is very memorable for me . I came to know various issues related to blogs . It was very great experience to meet top delhi bloggers .



The person , who attracted me most was Mr. Honey Singh .
Honey is from RaiBaraily , a small town in eastern Uttar Pradesh and presently doing his bachelor in Electronics from RKGIT , Ghaziabad . He is a successful blogger and earns great money from it . I visited his blog later in the night and found besides blogging he is on the way to start a big thing - his own web-firm with his friend Gaurav . I am very impressed !! This is the right beginning of a true tech professional .

There were bloggers from all possible dimensions , from IT professionals to Journalists . Few of them were students too ( like me ) , who are just in starting phase .
We talked over a number of issues ; like getting more hits , writing proper stuffs and should blogs be regulated by any government agency . Hopefully , all of us were sure about the bright future of blogs .

I am a fool !

Finally , Google made everyone fool . Virgle , the announcement of a Google - Virgin co-op was just a April Fool Prank . :[

Ok !!

I couldn’t believe this announcement , but I had no option except to believe it as it was on Google's Official blog . So , I just posted about it on my blog too giving a link to the original post on Google's official blog ( which was By Sir Branson , God knows is it true ? ) .

But , misfortunately I was among the fools !!

Now , I have decided to not search the web and update my feedreader on 1st April of every year !!

I apologize to my readers !!

Hi guys!

The Winter in Delhi is at its peak and misfortunately now; it is not loving at all.
Lots of Delhites (including ME!!) are suffering from various consequences of cold!!

I was suffering from FEVER and cough throughout the last week. This results into the absence of mine from college. Hence, I missed lectures and lab-sessions!! I am being worried about it ….. But hope that I will cover the course within next some days.


But, the illness was not CURSE at all. I enjoyed reading some good books. Out of these, I keenly read “The Google Story” (By: Mr. David A. Vise).

The book explores the history of Google, the mega internet brand. I first time read about Sergey Brin and Larry Page, the founders of Google. I was very excited during entire reading.

I also liked and tried the Appendix II : GLAT, the Google Labs Aptitude Test. I tried to answer all of the questions, but most of them were “OVER” the mind’s scope for me. But a few of them were quite easy too!

In Appendix I, some Cool Googling Tips are great!! Let me tell you one Useful trick to search on Google! The tilde character “~” in the corner of your keyboard is a handy tool in Google searches. Put it before a word, with no space between, to have Google look for pages with both that term and its synonyms.

Example: A search for ~auto will also turn up Web pages that use the terms CARS, TRUCKS, AUTOMOBILES, and more.

I praise the book, its contents and specially the different style of description by Author, Mr. David A. Vise . A MUST-READ ; friends ……. If you are a Google-lover like me!!!

Some Recommendations

Hi guys !



I hope that all of you will be enjoying winters which at extremes now ! Sadly , my winter vacations havebeen ended today and my college is re-opening after a fortnight vacations . I hope to be attend it by tomorrow .



During these 15 days , I have done nothing except watching TV shows and reading few interesting blogs . Here is my favorite list ( which I found to be COOL during these days ) :






  • The ZeeTv Reality show LilChamp ( On friday & saturday 10 pm )


This is Anamika , My favorite one at the show .

  • The show " OFFICE office " On Star One .

  • The show " We the People " On NDTV 24x7 News channel , hosted by Barkha Dutt

  • The " CNBC AWAAZ " News Channel , I like it most .

As , I was just enjoying & resting at home inside quilts & blankets , so I miss outings & visiting places . I am among the unlucky ones , who havenot seen Aamir Khan's great movie " TARE ZAMEEN PAR " ! But As , I m active now, so will catch it soon .

During these fortnight , I have rested too much and hence have decided to work hard for the next semester , i.e. ; fourth . I have also decided to be frequent blogger as it is my passion now . Thanks to my friend , Vineet , who inspired me a lot with his work .

the year 2007

Hi Guys !!

I was ill so , couldn't be so frequent to blogs !! Sorry for that !

The last year was just memorable for me . Throughout the year , I interacted many persons , online as well as offline ! Besides these , many celebrities also attracted me .
I would like to remember the year 2007 as year of Interactions !!

I made many NEW lifetime friends ( I hope so ....) . I had reunions with old pals .


In cyberworld , I come in touch with several nice guys . Many of them are students , bloggers and some journalists AND moreover all of them were geeker than me !!

Another very unusual thing happened to me was being shifted to rented room near college campus ; at BrijVihar ! This made me more responsible & somewhat more MISER !! I missed home , but not to a great extent as I was in same city .
One thing I really missed , was Home-cooked food ,as I had to depend on Junk food or HOTELS & DHABAS .

Well , I enjoyed this experience too .

Really , the last year was very productive for me ....... and I hope so for the next year .
