Nokia Launches 3 New S40 Handsets with Advanced Browser and Maps
Nokia has launched three new Series 40 based mobile handsets with advanced browser and integrated maps. These mobile phones, Nokia C2-02, Nokia C2-03 & Nokia C2-06, has been tagged as “Affordability without Compromise”.
The Nokia C2-03 is a dual SIM mobile phone, with an easy swap option to change SIM cards without having to turn off the phone or remove the battery. Nokia C2-02 is a single SIM phone with push messaging. All the three phones have Nokia Maps for Series 40 pre-installed, which also works in offline mode! These phones support expandable memory up to 32 GB.
Opera Mini like Browser
Nokia C2-02, Nokia C2-03 & Nokia C2-06 will have Nokia’s advanced browser for S40 series phones. This browser uses data compression technology (similar to Opera Mini) to reduce data usage and surfing cost.
According to Nokia, the estimated price of C2-02 and C2-03 is $105 and that for the Nokia C2-06 is $112. All of these devices are expected to hit the market in the third quarter of 2011.
Nokia has also launched Nokia N9, the smartphone with 3.9-inch AMOLED screen. Nokia has plans to release 10 new Symbian smartphones over the next 12 months.
