Google Translate, Google’s online translation service, has announced support for five new Indian languages. These languages are Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. After adding these new languages, Google Translate now supports total 63 languages.

As Google explains, Indic languages are quite different from the English and other Roman script languages. Google Translate already supports many other Indian languages including Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and Urdu.
Google has also enabled transliteration for these languages. Moreover, users can type these scripts using the virtual keyboard available on the Google Translate homepage.
