With the release of Chrome 9, a very exciting feature has landed in Google Chrome browser. This feature is Chrome Instant, which is disabled by default and users need enable it manually.
What is Chrome Instant?
Google describes, "With Instant enabled, most webpages begin loading as soon as you type a URL in the address bar, before you press ‘Enter’. In addition, if supported by your default search engine, search results and in-line predictions appear instantly as you type in the address bar. Because search results are requested even while you’re typing your query, your default search engine may be logging these as search queries.".
How to enable Chrome Instant?
To enable it, Click the wrench icon > Options > Basics tab > Search, and select the "Enable Instant for faster searching and browsing" checkbox.

Once you have enabled it, page loading starts as you type URL in the address bar. Also, the search results and in-line predictions appear instantly as you type query in the omnibar. You can disable the prediction service by deselecting the "Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar" option (Options > Under the Hood tab > Privacy).
