If you wish to say good bye to Delicious and switch to a better solution, Google Bookmarks is the best option there. It has tons of features including public and private lists – and it is backed by Google!
The only problem with Google Bookmarks is importing your existing bookmarks. @ArjunPhlox reminded me that importing bookmarks to Google Bookmarks requires installation of Google Toolbar, a browser toolbar created by Google.

Thankfully, Mihai Parparita has created an easier solution to import your Delicious bookmarks to Google Bookmarks account easily. Moreover, if you use your Yahoo! ID to login to your Delicious account, you don’t have to share your username and password as this tool uses OAuth.

The other problem is that Google Bookmarks does not have any tag support. That is/was the main interest in using del.ico.us!
@Luc Step
It’s not true. Google bookmarks uses labels, which are the same as tags.
Mihai Parparita’s script has only two drawbacks: you don’t keep your notes, and you don’t keep the original savedate. I’m still waiting for a “perfect” export/import solution
