Chrome Extension Gallery has completed one successful year of hosting browser extensions and themes. The extension gallery now hosts more than 8,500 extensions and 1,500 themes. During this period of one year, Chrome extensions have proved their powerful features and maturity. Chrome extensions are now blessed with many stable APIs, and offer almost all advanced features as the Firefox Add-ons do.
According to a post on official blog, one third of the Chrome users have at least one extension installed, and over 70 million installations have been performed in past one year.
Just to remind you, the official gallery is not the only place to install Chrome extensions. There are many independent extension galleries to host and install Chrome extensions. These galleries were launched even before the launch of official gallery.
