Remove Icons From Firefox’s Bookmarks Toolbar

By default, bookmarks folders on Bookmarks toolbar in Firefox have a “folder” icon. If you bookmark any web page on toolbar, the favicon of that web site also appears there. There are few add-ons to change these icons, but practically, these icons are “useless”.

If you have many items on Bookmarks toolbar, and you wish to save some space there by removing bookmarks’ icons – try a new Firefox add-on: bookmarks-deiconizer. This add-on is available for Firefox 4 beta 7 and later versions, and completely removes icons (and favicons) from Bookmarks toolbar.

Another good thing about this add-on: It does not require restart to install (or, disable/uninstall). Install  bookmarks-deiconizer from AMO, and read more @ Rob Campbell’s blog.
