The Open Web Apps are built using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. They can be installed to a dashboard within the browser, to system’s desktop or mobile home screen. These apps can be free, paid or subscription-based and may or may not require authorization. Most importantly, these apps are available for all HTML5 supporting browsers. Hence, Mozilla has challenged upcoming Google Chrome Web Store with its decentralized App Store platform.
