Kingston has launched its first USB 3.0 supported Flash drives in India. The newly launched Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 is available in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB storage capacities and has a write-speed of 60MB/sec.
According to Kingston, this product is based on USB 3.0 specifications and offers backward compatibility with USB 2.0 ports, as USB 2.0 Y cable is included for un-supported devices. The USB 3.0 is the latest specification with data transfer rates up to 80MBps for read operations and 60MBps for write operations. Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 works fine with Windows 7, Vista and Windows XP (SP3) and comes with a warranty of 5 years.
Kingston said on this launch, USB 3.0 is the next major milestone in Flash memory for USB products and Kingston wants to have a solution in the marketplace for early adopters.” The Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 is availble with part number DTU30/16GB, DTU30/32GB and DTU30/64GB in India.
