Side Tabs In Google Chrome

by Arpit Kumar on 1 July 2010

This is really a nice feature of Google Chrome: You can enable side tabs, which relocates the tabs to the sidebar. To try this, add the following command line flag to the Chrome launcher (need help? refer this article), and restart the browser:

--enable-vertical-tabs

To switch to side tabs mode: right click on any tab and choose "Use side tabs" option. Now, you can view tabs in the sidebar.  See the following screenshot:

Cool!  Smile

Want to have this feature in Firefox? There are many add-ons for that!  Try  Tab Sidebar, which displays previews of your tabs in your sidebar.

Thanks Bennett Blodinger for the tip.
