Screen Capture is the latest extension for Google Chrome to take screenshots of the web pages. The extension has been created by Google Chrome team itself, so you can call it official screen capturing extension for Chrome. This extension enables users to capture screenshot of visible content of a tab, a region of a web page, or the whole page as a PNG image. After taking the screenshot, you can edit and save it to your computer. And another great feature: It supports horizontal and vertical scroll when capturing the entire web page!

I am currently using Snagit 9 for taking screenshots. Snagit 9 has a feature to capture screenshot of web pages with vertical scroll – but it works only with Internet Explorer (and I don’t work with Internet Explorer!). Hence, the Screen Capture extension solves this problem too.
The Screen Capture extension by Google is super fast, and consumes less resources as compared with other similar extensions. It is available for all platforms: Windows, Linux and Mac. Install Screen Capture from Chrome extension gallery.
Snagit 10 supports scrollable capture of Chrome — and all sorts of other windows for that matter.
Sorry Matt, I have Snagit 9. :(
