Google Docs blog recently posted an article about GoogleLookup, a feature of Google Docs . A video on this feature was posted by Google on YouTube, which shows a new file type in the “Create new” list of Google Docs: Punch (see the screenshot below or the embedded video). Though, the Punch file type is not available to users till now and one can expect it to be available in future only.

The tutorial video on GoogleLookup must have been recorded by a Google employee – who have access to this beta feature. Users have already started guessing about this new file type. Thanks to David, who got the URL of Punch’s icon seen in the video. Here is the icon and its URL:

Maybe Google Punch is a free-form document that lets you combine data from other documents, spreadsheets, presentations and forms.
So, something new (and exciting!) is coming to Google Docs. :)
