This is another mile stone for the Indian Space Agency, ISRO. The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) today launched successfully with five satellites including three foreign satellites. This launched has proved the capabilities of Indian space scientists once again. The PSLV C-15 was also carrying a pico-satellite : StudSat (read more about StudSat) – a project developed by undergraduate students from several Indian colleges.

According to the news sources, the rocket was launched today at 9:22 AM from the Shriharikota center. The PSLV C-15 was carrying an Algerian, a Canadian and a Swiss satellite along with two Indian projects. Dr. G. Madhavan Nair, the chairperson of ISRO said about this successful launch,
“Why go after technology from other countries? Indian talents have proved that when really challenged, they are capable of making cutting edge technologies.”
