Disable Google Analytics – Easiest Way For Firefox Users


If you are a Firefox user and looking for the easiest way to disable Google analytics – the Google’s service used by webmaster to track their visitors’ activities, here is the easiest solution for you: Adblock Plus! The Adblock Plus (ABP) is a Firefox Add-on to selectively block images, JavaScripts, embedded media files and other HTML contents on the web pages.

How To Disable Google Analytics?

Follow these steps:

  • Install Adblock Plus Add-on from Mozilla AMO. Link.
  • Restart the browser to activate the add-on.
  • Now move to any website which is using Google Analytics.
  • Right click on the ABP’s icon on the toolbar or the status bar, and select the option : “Open blockable items”. Alternatively, you can press the following keys to get this option: CTRL + Shift+ V.
  • if the site is using Google Analytics, you will see its URL, google-analytics.com, in the list.

 

Disable Google Analytics

 

  • Right click on this URL, and select the option to block it (see above screenshot).

Now, You have disabled Google analytics! It will not be able to track your activities. Enjoy Freedom and privacy!

    Now thats what I call real thing….. all of the other ways to disable google analytics are full of crap…this one works…guys believe me…it works….I have tried everything but that google thing never disappear…it appears all the time…but if you block it from the add block plus…it will stop working….two thumbs to you dude…
