Opera Browser Gets Geolocation (development snapshot)

The latest development snapshot of Opera browser has finally integrated the geo-location feature. This feature is already available in many popular browsers including Firefox and Google Chrome.

Geolocation in Opera

Geolocation will enable websites to get geographical information about their visitors and serve content accordingly. Users have full control over sharing their geo data. The geolocation notification bar of Opera is missing an important feature: It does not have a Learn More link, which helps users in understanding the geolocation feature. Although, when a user agrees to share his location information – only then Opera shows a windows to agree with terms and conditions of Geolocation.

Opera development snapshot has also added some more HTML5 features including WebM support, Offline Web Applications etc.
