After banning Facebook, now Pakistani authorities have blocked YouTube, for the same reason – hosting Anti Islamic contents. A Pakistani court has ordered authorities to instruct internet service providers in the country to block the leading video hosting website.
Why Is YouTube Blocked In Pakistan?
It is the same issue: Islamic groups in Pakistan are blaming YouTube for hosting videos which are hurting their religious faith. Facebook has been blocked for the same reason.
Who is the next?
Users are reporting that certain pages of Wikipedia are inaccessible in Pakistan. Who knows if religious leaders in Pakistan are planning to file complian against Wikipedia and some other sites.

I am a very pleased to hear that facebook and youtube are blocked by Pakistani government. This action has to be taken very earlier. Pakistan has came into being on the name of Islam and not even single word can’t be heard against Islam or Pakistan.

We Indians object YouTube for hosting such contents. It is very sad to see the response of such a great site. India is a great country – where all religions have proper respect. Some of the yotube users are partialy to blame. I noticed recently that some (erotic) clips have been rensubmited under other names to make them as offensive to Muslims as possible. People, if you think you are helping the cause of free speech with childish stunts like this, think again. All you are doing is garenteeing that more and more countries ban more and more sources of information, and it is the citizens of those countries, not you, that will suffer from lack of acess to information.
