Favetop.com is a new website, which may be a perfect solution for those who are looking for an advanced start page on the Internet. It provides the quick access to your favourite websites, webapps, pictures, bookmarks, games, videos and music.
Favetop allows users to create customized online desktop, like your regular desktop on computer – where you can put shortcuts to applications, music etc. Hence, you can create your online desktop – and put links to your favourite websites and web-applications, embed music and videos, upload images, manage bookmarks and share your favourite items.
To access my favourite items, I depend upon browser bookmarks. But, this is not the perfect solution. :( As, I have to manually sync my bookmarks between different browsers and systems. I have already tried many solutions for syncing browser bookmarks (long list: Mozilla Weave, Opera Link, Chrome’s built-in sync option, Xmarks etc.), but none of them actually worked for me. Finally, I am syncing bookmarks manually – and waiting eagerly for an advanced, cross-browser and cross-platform syncing tool.
Favetop seems to be a perfect solution, where I can save & use data from all browsers and systems, even without syncing. Favetop is not just about managing links – it has many more features, like embedding videos, games and music. Users can aggregate, embed, play and share these media items easily. Favetop is in early beta – so expect more features in future.
Favetop is a new concept – the internet desktop! Must try it. :)
