We previously reported that the domain name iplt20.com is legally owned by the controversial IPL commissioner Lalit Modi. Now, we have discovered that the whois records of this domain name has been updated recently, and the name of registrant has been changed to BCCI.
Here is the screenshot of the updated whois records (via website www.who.is) :
According to this site, the whois records for this domain name (on its server) have been updated on 19 April, 2010 (04:31:27 UTC). You can see that the registrant’s name has been changed to BCCI, but the registrant’s email address is still associated with modi.com.
We expect that this change is just an attempt to cover this serious issue, which puts questions on the working of entire IPL system.
[ Thanks to Gopikrishnan for noticing this change ]
As days goes by we are sure to see more skeletons in the cupboards of BCCI and IPL offices, which not surpisingly would belong to Modi, Sharad Pawar, and a host of political bigwigs in the country………..
Personally I think the whole issue would be sewpt under the carpet as damage control is already set in motion. Shashi Tharoor is an idiot pretending to be a statesman and learning to be a politician, but what about Modi?
