Twitter Allows Geotagging Tweets, Sharing Location On Twitter.com
Twitter is now rolling out another feature for users: geotagging. This will allow users to add their location information with the updates posted on the site.
Though, this feature will not be on for users by default. Users need to opt-in for this from account setting page. Once user adds this service and geotagging gets enabled to his/her account, user would be able to add location to the tweets.

Twitter will use browser’s geolocation APIs to get geographical information of users.

Users can disable location sharing and delete all location data from the previously posted tweets. According to twitter, "Only Firefox 3.5 and Google Chrome on Windows support tweeting with location. To use this feature on Twitter.com with other browsers (older versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer), you’ll need to download Google Gears."
This feature is being rolled out, and not enabled to all users yet.
