Jolicloud, the Linux based operating system optimized for netbooks, has announced to adopt Google Chrome technology to power the rendering of web apps. Jolicloud is currently using Mozilla Prism.
In a blogpost, Jolicloud also announced public release of final Jolicloud Robby. Jolicloud says:
Until now, we have been using Mozilla Prism for the rendering of web apps. After evaluating the different technologies and opportunities, we have decided to switch our entire web application platform to a Chrome foundation. All our 600+ web apps in the App Center will be automatically converted to Chrome.

According to TechCrunch, Jolicloud team wants to speedup performance and hence opting Chrome for backend processing of web applications.
Mozilla Prism is a Site Specific Browser (SSB) solution developed by Mozilla. It uses the Gecko rendering engine, and brings web apps to desktop.
However, Firefox will remain the default browser of the operating system.
