Google announced it in a blogpost on official Google blog today. Google recently acquired another web 2.0 startup: Aardvark. The big G already owns Picasa Web, a free image hosting website.

Google said that Picnic will be soon integrated with other applications owned by the company, and the users will continue to be able to add their photos from other photo sharing sites (like Flickr, photobucket, facebook etc.).
