Maharashtra Police Launches e-Complaint Registration Website


Maharashtra Police has launched a website to register complaints by electronic means. This site enables citizen to file complaints online.

The site http://gms.maharashtra.gov.in/CMS/ provides the easiest way to file, confirm and track status of complaints. To file a complaint, users need to submit their Name, email ID and mobile number. The e-complaint system will send a verification code via SMS, which will be required to confirm the request.

 

Over 1,000 out of the 1,800 police stations in Maharashtra state have Internet connection, and government is working on providing infrastructure to the rest of the stations. This move by an Indian state government is really appreciable. Though, the e-Governance is still a dream project in India.
