Facebook Updates In Google Search

Yesterday, Google posted an update on twitter to announce the inclusion of Facebook updates in Google search results. In December, Google had announced a new feature: “Real Time” search results including updates from several social networking (status updating) sites like twitter, Facebook, Friendfeed, MySpace and Jaiku.

Public tweets are already included in search results. MySpace and Google Buzz updates are also visible in search results, and now public Facebook updates are included.

Google will show status updates only from Facebook pages, and not from individual user profiles as in case of twitter and Google Buzz.

To see real time status updates results only, users should select “Updates” in the “Show Options” sidebar on the left.
