Enable Visual Tab Preview Switcher in Firefox 3.6

Firefox 3.6 has many new features and improvements. Besides speed enhancements, some UI additions are also worth trying. One of them is Visual Tab Switcher, which shows previews of all tabs in the current browser window when users press CTRL + TAB keys to switch between tabs.

Visual Tab Preview Switcher

This feature is not active by default. You need to modify about:config settings to enable it. To get it, type about:config in the address bar and press enter key. Now press the “I’ll be careful, I promise” button and type browser.ctrlTab.previews in the filter box. Next, change the value of the preference to true.

This will enable tab preview while switching tabs in Firefox 3.6. When you click “Show all X tabs”, you can see preview of all tabs in the current window. This way is more convenient than the usual CTRL + TAB. :)
