Unzip Compressed Files Online

by Arpit Kumar on 19 January 2010

When using a friend’s computer or a public computer, you may miss some basic software utilities like a file archiver (Winzip, 7-zip etc.). Thankfully, there is an online service: Wobzip, where you can extract compressed files without downloading or installing any software.

wobzip - online tool to open compressed file formats

Wobzip supports many archive formats such as .zip, .tar, .7z, .rar, .iso, .deb, .gzip etc. Although, it does not allow .tar.gz and .tar.bz2 file formats. Users don’t require any registration and the service is completely free.

Use Wobzip to open above archive file formats without any extra effort. You can upload a file from your computer (maximum file size: 100 MB) or provide the URL of any compressed file hosted anywhere on internet. It also supports password protected files. Wobzip will extract the individual files from the zipped pack and show the result. You can download all or selected files just with a single mouse-click.

This is certainly useful for opening zip files without downloading them. And thanks for the link. :)
