Google Dictionary is a wonderful online dictionary. But, like other online dictionaries, you can access it only through its website. Thankfully, developers at Google have created an extension for Google Chrome browser – which overcomes this problem by showing inline dictionary definitions. Just double click any word and see its definition in a small pop-up bubble.
How to use Google Dictionary Extension?
- Install it from extension gallery.
- Now double click any word to see its meaning.
- You can customize the above setting from the extension’s option page and opt for Ctrl + double-clicking to see definition.
- You can also see the complete definition of any word or phrase using the address bar dictionary. For this, click the dictionary icon in the address bar.
The extension supports many languages: Chinese,Czech, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Korean, Russian and Spanish. Though, it does not support translation yet. And, no Indian languages. :(
A must have extension for Google Chrome!
