TwitterBar Is Now Available For Google Chrome
A good news: TwitterBar is now available for Google Chrome! So, if you are getting errors with Shareaholic extension for Chrome while using twitter – you have a great alternative now.
TwitterBar is the smartest way to share links on twitter right from the address bar. This popular Firefox add-on is very useful for twitter users as it saves time and provides full customizations. I was missing this utility in Chrome, and had to create a javascript bookmarklet for sharing links on twitter. Thankfully, I have a better option now.
How to use TwitterBar in Chrome?
Install TwitterBar from Christopher’s site and you will notice its icon on address bar. Now, click it whenever you wish to share currently opened URL on twitter. You need to authorize TwitterBar on first time use (using OAuth). You can also set your preferences (for URL shortening service, default prefix etc.) from Extensions > TwitterBar Options.
As developer Christopher Finke says in his blog post, Chrome version has almost all features and functionality of Firefox version.
Another must have extension for Google Chrome.
