Twitter Read Mode

by Arpit Kumar on 7 December 2009

Twitter Read Mode is a useful greasemonkey script for twitter web interface. It removes unwanted page elements from sidebar and text box to post updates on twitter. Hence, you can’t post updates to twitter.

Twitter Read Mode is developed for the users who think they are addicted to twitter and feel the guilt of filling others’ timeline by worthless tweets (I guess I’m one!). So, disable the ‘write mode’ and switch to ‘read mode’ – just read others’ updates ‘silently’. And, when you wish to post something – disable the script by a right click on monkey icon at status bar.

To use this userscript, you need Greasemonkey add-on for Firefox.
