Wikipedia Linking To Malicious Website Claiming As Official Website Of Raju Srivastva

Just after watching elimination of Raju Srivastva from Big Boss 3, I turned to Raju’s page on Wikipedia and found an external link claiming as official site of Raju. As I blindly faith Wikipedia, I clicked on it and the result was surprising! Firefox warned me for attack site.

Warning: Raju Srivastva's Website Is Dangerous

This was the first incident for me to face such condition. I looked for this domain at Google’s Safe Browsing Diagnostic page and this confirmed that the site contains harmful contents, which are not safe for visitors.

I am not sure if that site really belongs to Raju Srivastva. It seems that site is infected with iframe virus or similar malicious scripts. Raju Srivastva was a participant in Big Boss 3 (eliminated on December 4, 2009) and his popularity gives a chance to attackers. Unfortunately, Wikipedia is linking to that site and this will certainly harm a lot of Indian netizens who are not much aware of online risks. I tried to edit that link at Wikipedia – but failed! :(

So, if you are a fan of Gajodhar Bhaiya please don’t visit that site – and always use security tools while working online. Another lesson: Don’t trust Wikipedia’s external links!
