bit.ly Has A Fail Pet
This is really awesome – popular URL shortening service bit.ly has a fail pet too.

You must have noticed twitter’s fail whale and Google Wave’s similar down page. Few days ago, Frédéric Wenzel found that social code repository site github also has a fail pet – pink fail-unicorn.
To see bit.ly’s fail pet, a pufferfish, open any non-existing bit.ly URL, say http://bit.ly/arpitkkumar and you will get it. ![]()
Twitter’s fail whale appears only when twitter is down, but bit.ly’s fish appears for all non existing URLs. It seems that fail pets & down pages are the latest craze on Internet.
Cool!
