Google Dictionary
Many of us are aware of Google’s search operator define:word, which lists meaning of English words. But, do you know that Google has a standalone online dictionary which offers meanings of not just English words but also of other languages?
Google Dictionary @ http://www.google.com/dictionary is Google’s online dictionary tool. It offers simple word-meanings for words of English and some other languages like Hindi, Tamil, Korean, Spanish, Dutch, German, French, Thai, Arabic, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali etc. Users can lookup for words, related phrases, pronunciation along with web definitions (taken from other websites/sources).
If you have a Google account then you can “Star” words for future references.
Google Dictionary is a plain and simple-to-use tool. I tried it for English to Hindi and Hindi to English lookup, and the results were awesome! Though, there is another cool dictionary website – Shabadkosh, but it is limited to Hindi and English only.
