Mozilla Firefox has official add-on repository, which is the perfect solution for extension developers and users both. A similar extension gallery for Google Chrome is on the way. So, you don’t need to visit thousands of Chrome extension hosting websites in future.
I don’t know why but, extension development process is quite slow in the case of Chrome. Firefox users have almost infinite choices for add-ons, which makes Firefox a wonderful browser.
This step is really appreciating, and will accelerate developers. One centralized repository and full extension support will attract many users towards Chrome.
The latest build of Chromium shows alert for the new feature: “New! Chromium now has extensions and bookmark sync.” This is linked to https://chrome.google.com/extensions, which seems to be the URL of upcoming official extension gallery (though, the link is not working at the moment and you will be redirected to Google homepage).
