SMS TWEET : Post To Twitter Via SMS Without Airtel Connection And At Cheaper Price
Airtel and Twitter recently launched SMS support for Indian users, and hence Airtel subscribers can get SMS updates and can post tweets using the premium number 53000. Unfortunately, this service is only for Airtel customers
and you need to pay premium SMS charges (Rs 3 per SMS).
In past, twitter had txt service in India, which was offering the same service to all users (i.e., up to 250 updates via SMS and tweet via SMS) – which has been discontinued silently.
So, you will have to miss tweeting via SMS if you are not an Airtel user.
Another poor trick to post via SMS is : Create a Facebook page – Link Your Twitter account with this page – and hence, use Facebook’s existing 92FACEBOOK service. That’s too complicated. ![]()
Thankfully, we have a better way to update via SMS – SMS TWEET. This service is a boon for those users who don’t have GPRS support on their mobile phones.
How To Use SMS TWEET?

Send tweet register username password to 09220092200. And, done! ![]()
Now sms your twitter updates to 09220092200 and SMS TWEET will post it to twitter. Cool! As this number is not a premium number, normal charges will apply. Great!!
