On.com – Google Maps Mashup To Chat With Users Worldwide

We have seen tools like Omegle and AnyBodyOutThere, which offer web based chatting with random strangers. Here is another such tool – On.com, which is a Google maps mashup and offers chats with the people displaying on the map.

On.com is not exactly a tool to chat with random users. Unlike Omegle, at On.com you can create your profile, can connect your webcam for video chat, see the user profile before starting chat, search users, can create your friend-list and much.

Hence, On.com is a standalone IM-based social networking site, which reminds you the poor Yahoo! Messenger – where you can chat with users worldwide without any invitation as in Gtalk. The only twist is the map – you can see online users on the map.

I wish if On.com uses the Gtalk / Jabber network. Certainly, you will like it.
