Firefox Plugin Check Page Detects Potentially Vulnerable Plugins

Learning from recent Flash plugin case, Mozilla is planning to ensure much security for users. Now you can detect potentially vulnerable Firefox plugins and can update them easily.

The Plugin Check Page will tell you about the outdated plugins and you can update them using the direct link. The service is currently in beta, and you may surprise with few results, as Mozilla describes :

Some plugins don’t expose a good version number in the description, but can be detected by instantiating the plugin.

For example, you may get wrong vulnerability warning for Adobe (Acrobat) Reader’s plugin or Media Player’s plugin.

Certainly, this tool will help users to secure their online experience and will make Firefox a better browser.
