Change Favicon Of Bookmarks In Firefox



Favicons Favicons are just like identity of websites. Whenever you save any bookmark in Firefox, its favicon also gets saved, and hence you find it simple to deal with bookmarks. Also, when you save any bookmarklet – it usually has no icon or an ugly blank icon.

I always wish to change the default icons of these bookmarks (and bookmarklets) and here is the solution I got – Favicon Picker 3.

Favicon Picker 3 is a Firefox add-on, which enables users to set and change icons for bookmarks/bookmarklets. Install it and go to the properties of any bookmark (by a right click on it). Now, you can browse icon file from your system and can set it. Simple!

  • You can create your own favicons using any image editor. Save any image with .ico extension.
  • There are several online tools to create favicons.
  • Favicon Picker supports all major image and icon file formats – .jpg, .png, .ico,  .gif etc. So, you can use any image as icon for bookmarks.
