Disable Twitter’s Click Tracking

You may have noticed a change : whenever you click on any external link on Twitter (web interface) – you are not immediately redirected to that link. Twitter tracks your click first, and only then you are forwarded to the original link.

You can notice in the above screenshot that as I click any external link (say, any bitly URL) on Twitter, it redirects me to a tracking URL something like this :

http://twitter.com/link_click_count?url=http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2F195Ege&linkType=web&tweetId=3869743895&userId=7397852&authenticity_token=93ac7f836503b89c00e15ef5336a22afee866246

As you can see from the structure of this URL, it is clear that Twitter is tracking your clicks now.

And now the solution :  install TweetCountKill greasemonkey script and you can bypass this tracking. Simple!
