Google recently launched another cool service – Sidewiki, which enables users to contribute helpful information next to any webpage.

To use this feature you need to install Google Toolbar, which is supported by only Internet Explorer and Firefox. Hence, if you use other browsers or have not installed Google toolbar — you can’t use this service. :(
Well, there is an option to read sidewiki comments without Google Toolbar — Sidewiki Comment Reader. Visit this site, enter the URL of any webpage and it will display the related comments.Though, you can’t post comments using this tool.

This tool also provides the original URL (permalink) of the sidewiki entry, which can be used to open the entry directly. (even in non-supported browsers : Chrome, Safari etc.) :)
