We love tools like MozBackup and FavBackup which backup all your browser settings without any problem. These two portable tools also restore the backup data.
CLEO is another Firefox add-on, which helps you in taking backup of your add-ons. With CLEO (Compact Library Extension Organizer) — you can create a XPI file, which contains all your add-ons. CLEO works with FEBE — so to use CLEO you need to install it first.
Install FEBE and CLEO.
After activating these two add-ons, you can find option to create CLEOpack in Tools>FEBE>CLEO.
Once you have exported all extensions to a xpi file (the cleopack) — you can restore all add-on just by a simple drag-n-drop. You can share this cleopack with friends or can use to install add-ons on a different computer. Hence, you don’t need to download these add-ons individually again.

Unless I’m missing something CLEO is completely useless and does not work as seen in the video here. You have to have copies of your extensions in xpi format saved on your hard drive in order to create the Cleopack. Who downloads extensions in addition to installing them?
You can use FEBE to export installed extensions via the “Quick backup” option, but then you have already created an installation pack, which is the same as a Cleopack, which makes CLEO useless.
In addition, I was hoping CLEO allowed you to “activate” select extensions based on the purpose of your browsing. It does not. It is still faster to create duplicate Firefox profiles (using FEBE) and simply uninstall the unnecessary Add ons.
CLEO makes no sense to me.
