RareBloodTypes.org – Online Support Site For Rare Blood Groups

RareBloodTypes.org is a great initiative by Tulika and Rahul Verma.

Tulika and Rahul live in New Delhi (India) and run the “Uday Foundation for Congenital Defects and Rare Blood Groups” – which provides appropriate treatment to underprivileged children in India  born with congenital defects. They started this NGO after a really bad phase of life :

When Tulika delivered her first baby, doctors told them he had multiple congenital defects and a very rare blood group. The only channel they have then was SMSs and phone calls to friends and relatives. This experience gave them a lesson and an inspiration to launch a website to help others facing the same situation.

In India we have only promising governments and leaders, we seriously lack people like Rahul and Tulika. The couple has left their full-time jobs just to manage and promote their site and NGO.
