Create Your Own Twitter Client

by Arpit Kumar on 8 July 2009

Want to create your own Twitter client?
If you have a self hosted WordPress blog, you can post updates to twitter directly from your blog’s dashboard and this time twitter will show your own client, unlike “web” or “tweetdeck”.

And, for this you need to install a plugin and register your blog at twitter. Let’s see the entire process :

  • Install Tweetable plugin for wordpress. Activate it.
  • Go to setting page of plugin – you will be asked to register your blog as a twitter client first.
  • Follow the installation process and enter the details of your registration.
  • After successful setup of plugin, you can find a widget on dashboard of your blog.
  • Use this widget to post tweets. :)

This trick is very cool and you will love to use it because it gives a different kind of satisfaction and ease of  working with twitter.  And, if  you don’t have a self hosted WordPress blog – you can create it using any of infinite free web hosts supporting WordPress. :)
