Gmaps Pedometer – Easily Calculate Distance Between Two Points On Google Maps

Gmaps Pedometer is Google Maps mashup, which can easily calculate distance between any two points on earth.

To find distance between two locations visit Gmaps Pedometer site and move to your desired point on the map. Now, click on the “Start recording” button on the left panel. Now, double click on the starting point and move to other locations. Thereafter, every double-click will draw a point on the map, and the distance from your last point and your cumulative distance will both appear in the boxes on the left navigation panel. Distances can be calculated in Miles and Kilometers.

You have three choices for drawing the route :

• Automatically (for runners) this will create a route that follows the streets on the map.
• Automatically (for cyclists) this option does the same thing, but also makes sure not to go the wrong way down a one-way street.
• Manually (straight lines) draws a straight line from the last point.

You can save the route for future references.  (see a saved route).
