Google India Labs has introduced a very easy & useful tool for typing in Indian languages like : Arabic, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu.

Type in Indian Languages Easily with a bookmarklet

You don’t need to download any software, add-on or iGoogle gadget to use this service. Simply visit this page, choose your language and drag the language specific bookmarklet to your browser’s bookmarks toolbar.

Now, whenever you need to type in that language simply hit the bookmarklet and start typing with in roman script. The text will be translated to your selected language instantly.

These bookmarklets can be used with any browser – IE, Firefox, Chrome or Opera. Moreover, you can use them on any website or webapp.

So, you can use them for google search, twitter, Orkut or Gtalk etc.!
