Though, you may have used several other twitter apps for creating groups on twitter, but tweetknot is best among them. It is a new tool having following features :

  • Create and join groups (called as Knot) on twitter.
  • Groups can be public or private. If you want only members to be able to read messages you can go for private group.
  • Anyone can join public groups, though the owner of group can block particular users from group. This feature is awesome! Till now, we use #hashtags for sharing common updates related to any topic or event which sometimes get filled with unwanted people.
  • The concept of “tweetknot group” is similar to “community” – where users can share tweets with other members.
  • Members of a group can post messages to the group.
  • Knots (i.e.; groups) can follow a twitter user – hence, the updates of that users will be automatically posted in the knot.
  • TweetKnot is a web-based application. Its user interface is perfect – you have three columns there :  first column showing updates from knots, second column for your twitter friends timeline and third column for settings and other related knots messages.
