by Arpit Kumar on 18 May 2009

URL bar search is another handy Firefox add-on which makes searching easy with multiple search engines.

If you use many search engines (if you don’t, you should) then this add-on is a must have for you. You can assign IDs for engines, like ‘g‘ for Google. Once, you have configured this add-on you can use it directly from the address bar.

For example, to search a query on Google start your search with Google’s ID. Hence, if you have opted the ID ‘t‘ for twitter search and want to search #indiavotes09 on twitter, simply type ‘t #indiavotes09‘ in the URL bar and hit the return key.

KwiClick is another Firefox add-on to search on multiple sites easily. :)
