NoAddict Reminds You To Be Productive

NoAddict is a little greasemonkey script which shows alert message when you visit those websites, you have added to it.

Alert

It simply shows a message on the visit of selected websites. You can use it to show alert messages for various purposes. I wrote this one-line user script to recover from the  addiction of Google Reader and Twitter, and have got success!

Install this tiny script from here. You will need the greasemonkey add-on to run it in Firefox. After successful installation, you can add more sites to it or can customize the alert message.

To Add More Sites :

Add more sites

Open the Manage Scripts panel of the add-on and select the script. Now, on the right panel click on the Add .. and enter the URL.

To Customize The Alert Message

Edit the source code and change the bold text;

if(alert("Don't get addicted to Twitter!! Kill the page, Please."));

The script has been reviewed by Download Squad, LifeHacker and other top technology blogs. This way may not appeal to some of you but believe me, simplicity has its own strength. As,  Jason Fitzpatrick of Lifehacker writes :

NoAddict won’t do anything drastic like ban you from a site, close the tab, or announce to the world that you’re wasting yet another afternoon at work playing flash games, but it will relentlessly remind you when you’re browsing a giant time sink.
