Add Other Search Options in Google Result Page

There are several ways to integrate other search engines with Google result page. But, Matt Cutts has created a greasemonkey script for adding other search tools in the same manner as you may have seen in some April fool prank screenshots.

The script has been named as “Retro Links” and simply adds a Try your query on : option at the bottom of result page. This is very useful, when you can’t find any proper result for your search. This option is better than several other ways as it is lighter and sits at bottom. I was using others ways to integrate Wikipedia, Flickr results, but the problem with those was long loading time. This script doesn’t load results from other sources and hence doesn’t affect the load time of page.

The script offers 42 options which include – Yahoo!, Live, Ask, Flickr, Twitter etc.

To use this script you need Firefox with Greasemonkey add-on.
