Hunch – Make Decisions By Answering A Series Of Questions

Hunch is a new startup from Caterina Fake, Flickr co-founder. The service helps people in making decisions by using a series of questions. Although Hunch is in early beta now, it is creating buzz.

How Hunch Works

What is Hunch?

The basic idea behind Hunch is to help you in making decision.  Let’s take an example : you have a question “Which word processor should I use?” You will be asked about few preferences, like : should it be desktop based, do you need collaboration etc.

Once you finish with these questions, Hunch will suggest you few options with relative ranking based on your preferences. On the same time, you can also read reviews of other users about that service. Sounds cool!

There are some more features. You can rank a result, can add your reviews, rate recommendations (wiki-like). You will find all social networking options there to connect with other users, including an activity feed to track topics from your RSS reader.

The Future

I am very excited about Hunch. From a user’s point of view the idea of hunch is very useful. Of course, twitter (and Yahoo! Answers?) is great (& faster) tool to get #help from friends and followers all over the world, you will find it more reliable and organized.

Hunch is presently in private beta and invitation is required to join it. :(
