Google Reader Toolkit – Firefox Add-on For GReader

by Arpit Kumar on 13 February 2009

Google Reader Toolkit is a Firefox (experimental) add-on for Google Reader. It notifies you if there are updates available on Google Reader.

There are many such add-ons , but this one has some cool features. Google Reader Toolkit places its’ icon on  status bar and icon will turn orange on getting updates.

GRT  doesn’t support authentication, so it works only if you are logged in to Google Reader.

You can set various notification options, like : setting refreshing time interval and getting notifications for few selected tags only. (great feature!)

It is really a great add-on to have.  Currently, GRT is an experimental add-on and doesn’t work with popular add-on Gmail Manager.
