Frank Watson has noticed a change in the top search box of Gmail. The Search option is missing “Search Web” button!

So, the Google has dropped the “Search Web” button and we can just search our mails through this search box

Don’t know if this change is permanent or not, but I will miss this button a lot. I should now customize my navigation toolbar and should add the search box there!
